Last Summer, GSU Geoscience graduate Terez Chapman completed an internship with the City of Atlanta's Department of Public Works. Within the Department of Public Works, Terez interned within the Office of Solid Waste Services, where she was assigned to the Keep Atlanta Beautiful Commission (KABC). During Terez's internship with the City of Atlanta, she worked with the executive director of KABC, Kanika Greenlee. The KABC commission's areas of focus include ending littering, improving recycling, and beautifying communities. As Terez states, "The work done within this one program alone allows for Atlanta's citizens to move toward a future that will incorporate sustainability in every district no matter their socioeconomic status. That makes the impact that much more meaningful." Congratulations on the successful completion of your internship, Terez!
