Saying Goodbye to Kell Hall
Our beloved (said no one ever) parking garage-turned-GSU’s-first-classroom-building-turned Geosciences headquarters will be demolished, beginning in late 2018. As such, our faculty offices, labs, and classrooms will be moving during 2018.
Indeed, after grades were in this fall semester, faculty members were busy packing up their stuff getting ready to move to our new space!
The faculty offices of the department will be located in the 730 Langdale Hall office suite.
This means Geosciences faculty members will share the same space for the first time… ever! Please come visit us, as we’ll start the spring 2018 semester in our new digs!
Also expected in 2018 is the new lab wing of the 4th floor of Sparks Hall, which will house Geosciences laboratories and the renovated classroom space on the 1st floor of Sparks, which will house our GIS classrooms and teaching labs. Students and faculty are expected to be utilizing these spaces beginning in fall 2018. In the meantime, we will slowly say goodbye to Kell Hall, as it is disassembled brick by brick.
