Geographers Awarded IGIF Travel Grants
GSU Geoscience students Amber Boll and Paulita Bennett-Martin were both awarded a nationally competitive travel grant from the Association of American Geographer’s International Geographic Information Fund for $500. Both students will be using the funds for travel to the AAG convention in Tampa, FL. Amber Boll, one of our first year MS students, will be giving a presentation on community geography and will be recognized that Saturday at a convention luncheon. Paulita Bennett-Martin will be presenting her Honor’s Undergraduate Thesis work on Belize marine debris. We are very proud of both these bright examples of Georgia State Geoscience students Going Places!
